The Composer

A Life Composed

Born in Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain, Waheed Ahmed Hasan Abdulrahman Alkhan is an international composer, orchestral conductor, and designer of large-scale multimedia opening ceremonies. A graduate of the Cairo Conservatory, he has spent decades weaving the pearl-diving songs of the Gulf into the language of the classical orchestra — from stadium-scale national celebrations to symphonic works performed across Europe and the Arab world.
